Delete Your Account
How to delete your Vortexorce account, or some of your data, and what we have to keep. Version 1.0, issued 6 October 2026.
1.Who this page is for
This page explains how a worker using the Vortexorce app (published on Google Play and the App Store by Vortexorce Limited, company no. 13304681) can delete their account and the personal data held with it, or ask us to delete some of their data while keeping the account. Companies using the Vortexorce Portal can close their account by writing to info@vortexorce.com.
2.How to delete your account
In the app
- Open the Vortexorce app and log in.
- Open Settings (the gear icon at the top of the screen) and tap Delete my account at the bottom.
- Read what will be deleted and kept, type DELETE to confirm, and tap Delete my account.
You are logged out straight away and can no longer log in. We complete the deletion within one month and email you when it is done.
By email
If you can no longer use the app, email info@vortexorce.com from the email address registered on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. If you write from a different address, we will ask you to confirm your identity before we act, so that nobody can delete your account but you. We reply within one month.
3.Deleting some of your data without deleting your account
You can ask us to delete particular data and keep your account, for example a document you uploaded, your night worker health assessment answers, your bank details or your messages. Email info@vortexorce.com from your registered email address, say which data you want deleted, and we will do it within one month, or tell you which part we must keep and why.
Some data is needed for the account to work: if you ask us to delete your name, contact details or right-to-work evidence, we will not be able to offer you work until you provide them again.
4.What is deleted
- Your login, profile, address, phone number and preferences.
- Uploaded documents and photos, other than right-to-work evidence we must keep (see below).
- Your messages, notifications, availability, applications and saved settings.
- Your night worker health assessment answers, unless we must keep a record of the offer and the outcome (see below).
- Your device’s push notification token.
5.What we must keep, and for how long
The law requires us to keep some records after you leave. We keep only these, restrict access to them, and delete them when the period ends:
| Record | How long we keep it | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Pay, tax and attendance records, including QR scan times | 6 years from the end of the tax year they relate to | Tax and National Minimum Wage record-keeping |
| Holiday entitlement and holiday pay records | 6 years | Working Time Regulations 1998 and limitation periods |
| Right-to-work evidence | The duration of your engagement plus 2 years | To keep the statutory excuse against a civil penalty |
| Registration, assignment and Key Information Document records | 6 years from your last assignment | Conduct Regulations record-keeping and limitation periods |
| Night worker health assessment offer and outcome (not your answers) | 2 years from when it was made | Regulation 9 of the Working Time Regulations 1998 |
| Health and safety and incident records | As required by health and safety law, and longer where a claim is foreseeable | Statutory reporting and defence of claims |
Full details are in our Agency Worker Privacy Notice and our Website Privacy Notice. If you are unhappy with how we handle a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF; telephone 0303 123 1113; ico.org.uk.
